Community guidelines
Talk like there are four real people in the room—because there are. Disagreement is welcome. Dehumanising, identifying or targeting someone is not.
How to take part
- Speak from your own experience.
- Challenge an idea without reducing a person to a stereotype.
- Keep private details private, including details about people who are not using Akin.
- Use the category that best fits the conversation.
- Let a conversation remain small; do not coordinate others to enter or target it.
Not allowed
- Harassment, threats, intimidation or encouragement of violence.
- Hate speech or dehumanising content targeting a protected characteristic.
- Sharing personal information that could identify or locate someone.
- Sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, or grooming behaviour.
- Non-consensual intimate content or threats to share it.
- Impersonation, fraud, scams, spam or coordinated manipulation.
- Instructions or encouragement for self-harm, violence or serious illegal activity.
