Who can use Akin

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. You must provide accurate account information and keep access to your email secure.

What Akin provides

Akin provides a hosted space for members to create and join small text conversations about dating and relationships. Akin does not provide matching, therapy, medical advice, legal advice or emergency services.

Your account

• One account per person unless Akin approves otherwise.
• Do not sell, share or transfer access to an account.
• Your generated identifier may not be changeable.
• Akin may require email verification before posting or replying.

Your content

You keep ownership of text you submit. You give Akin a limited, worldwide licence to host, reproduce and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service.

You are responsible for having the right to submit your content and for removing identifying details about other people.

Moderation and enforcement

Akin may review reported content and remove content or restrict accounts that breach these terms or the community guidelines. Akin may act without prior notice when needed to reduce harm, comply with law or protect the service.

Ending the agreement

You can delete your account through the app or website. Akin may suspend or close an account for serious or repeated violations. Provisions that logically need to survive closure—including liability, dispute and lawful retention provisions—continue to apply.

Liability and governing law

The final limitation-of-liability, consumer-rights, governing-law and dispute terms must be completed for the operating legal entity and reviewed for Swedish and EU consumer law before launch.
